The Fighting Ibex

May 2022

It's January 1955, hostilities of the Korean War ended some eighteen months earlier. The Cold War is entering a new phase as Europe continues to improve after the desolation of WWII. For Victoria Shannon though, this is not her concern as she prepares to begin a fairytale life with her very own Prince Charming. Unfortunately things are not always as they seem as she finds herself abandoned in Cortina, Italy. Victoria is now faced with a decision; return to New York with her tail between her legs or show the Europeans what a woman from Hell's Kitchen is capable of. With the majestic Dolomites as a background, she is befriended by a sympathetic and compassionate staff plus several military officers from both Italy and the United States. As the Cold War evolves around this group of newly formed friends it becomes evident that allies may not be who they appear to be and that enemy may be closer than they think. This is the first book of the Cold War series by Leo Peterson.

Hotel Intrepid: Jack-Of-All-Trades

June 2024

Astrid Sinclair has always been the peacemaker who never rocked the boat, and after nearly thirty years of living a lie, she finds herself alone, trying to piece her life back together again.

Ty Machesney is rich, bold, and adventurous. He sweeps Astrid off her feet when her old world finally comes crumbling down around her. It seems as if he and his friends are all cut from the same bolt of cloth, but they have secrets.

Should Astrid trust Ty, or rely on her family and friends to pick up the pieces of her shattered life?

With the city of Atlanta as the background where opulence and prestige are currency, human trafficking seems to be the unspoken article of trade. How will Astrid navigate her future where everyone seems to be in it for themselves and where decisions are made based on social mobility and politics?

Yankee Company

July 2024

Victoria is now back in New York, which is a mixed blessing. She has started a new career in
finance and is being mentored by a very good friend of Johnny’s, Kip Van Styles. Unfortunately, with her
new found wealth comes suitors who wish to control her and her money. In the meantime, Johnny has
reorganized the original unit started by Captain David Alexander. Yankee Company has been tasked
with meeting the many different demands of the ever-changing Cold War. It also becomes clearer that
there are private enterprises, both domestic and abroad, that wish to influence the global geo-political
landscape for their own means, regardless of who it impacts. Allies cannot be trusted and enemies may
actually be friends.

TESTIMONIALS

Although fictional,  Leo Peterson,  exposes and captures a serious problem in our society today. The prolific games from government to uncertainty of black market sale of persons into modern day slavery. Tell me more...The numbers of characters are outrageously mind blowing...literally. The relationship between Ty and Astrid is heighten to wanting more for themselves without undetermined certainty. Astrid's family dynamics unlikely common but possible in this fictional world waits what will come next. Ty's associates are dark and mysterious.  Watch "Popeye "! By the way, Atlanta is the backdrop for this tale of tales making the the streets and buildings of Atlanta come alive. Ty and Astrid I'm watching you. Also what becomes of the black market/government/insiders  involvement? Can't wait to see what's next.

I am not generally drawn to historical fiction, but from the first chapter, I found myself intrigued by the story, the adventure, and most especially by the characters, who are well-drawn and likeable. I could not put this book down, and look forwards to the second volume!

This book was wonderful. I loved how Leo Peterson combined the history and lifestyle of the characters. His descriptions were spot on. I felt like I was there with them. The love story was only a part of it. It was a page turner for me. I am looking forward to his second book. Great job!
